Carsten Jens Maschmeyer is a German businessman, speaker, author, investor, and panel member of the Die Höhle der Löwen (a German reality television series). Carsten Jens Maschmeyer was an orphan who was born on 8 May 1959 in West Germany, Bremen. He grew up in Hildesheim and lived under underprivileged conditions. Besides being a successful athlete in his teenage, he completed his Abitur in 1978 and also became a part of the German Armed Forces for 2 years. As he was living a poor life so he concurrently worked in the OVB Vermogensberatung (a financial advisory firm) sales department along with his studies. After that in 1982 - 1987, he decided to commit the financial consultancy on a full-time basis. The chain of his success continued here and at a very young age, he became the Country Director of Lower Saxony. In Lower Saxony, he handled 3,000 salespeople. He was also honoured to become a reserve officer of the Bundeswehr Joint Medical Service.
